Being a leading manufacturer and supplier of DC Power Supply systems to Railways, Defence, Solar and Power Sector Statcon Electronics India Limited is now an approved vendor for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL).
These DC Power Supply Systems are available in 48VDC, 110VDC and 220VDC, 24VDC from 25A to 200A DC. The 48VDC systems are used for PGCIL’s HVDC multi-terminals interconnect project and PLCC/Telecom network. The 110VDC and 220VDC systems are used in Transmission and distribution networks for providing DC supply to protection relays and circuits as well as providing DC supply to emergency lights. DCPS are suitable to charge any type of batteries from Lead acid (SMF/VRLA, LM, tubular) to Ni-cd.
PGCIL vendor approval process is a stringent process in which the organizations’ factory registration/license along with other requirements of industries and labour department is checked followed by documented organizational structure, list of plant and machinery, testing equipments to carry out routine tests in-house along with their calibration certificates, ISO/BIS certificate, manufacturing quality plan covering raw material inspection- in-process- final product testing to inspection. Type test certificates of equipments offered are also required to be submitted along with past performance record at customers’ end. This is followed by Quality Audit by PGCIL QA personnel at Statcon Electronics factory premises.
It is to be noted that PGCIL is an Indian Government Owned utility company which transmits approximately 50% of the total power generated in India on its own transmission network. It also owns and operates a very large telecom network.
